How does stress affect our skin?

Stress, the great enemy of our skin, makes it dry, rough, tight, and above all, covers it with those dreaded pimples that bother us so much.

We've all experienced a special day, like our wedding, an important event, or our first day at work, where we want to look radiant, and we wake up with that dreaded pimple on the most visible area of our face, and we've wanted to go back to bed to see if it would go away. Well, these types of incidents often occur due to the stress caused by various life circumstances that cause our skin to react, causing this discomfort.

But stress goes far beyond a simple pimple; it can cause real dermatological problems if our cortisol levels remain elevated for a long time. Problems such as rosacea, dermatitis, psoriasis, and acne are some of them, and of course, they should be treated by a dermatologist.

But we can prevent its appearance to some extent by taking four very simple steps:

1. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, and a thousand times over SPF 50. Our skin has a memory, and it counts every hour of sun we've had, so it's always recommended to use it in all seasons, especially in summer. During this season, you should apply it several times a day whenever you're exposed to the sun.

2. Hydration : Our skin needs a lot of hydration, not only by using moisturizers that restore water to our skin, but also by drinking the recommended two liters of water. If we stay hydrated, the results on our skin will be visible in no time, and we'll avoid spending a lot on products. For dehydrated skin, there's nothing better than Maui, our Biocollagen and Shea Butter cream.

3. Rest , sleep well, maintaining a daily sleep routine, going to bed and waking up at the same time. But many of us are mothers, and I can't recommend a good night's sleep since it's no longer up to us. Therefore, a good facial routine with a vitamin C eye cream like Hanna, concealer, and a cup of coffee are essential parts of your day.

4. A balanced diet is always recommended for radiant skin, based on lots of fruits and vegetables that provide us with vitamins, but if we complement this with a good vitamin C cream like Valentina, then it's even better, hehe.

Stress is a great enemy for the skin, and for our entire body. Daily life, work, children, lack of rest, and other daily problems mean we can't get proper care and rest, so a little help never hurts.
