Retinol, Ectoin®, Stabilized Vitamin C, Ceramides, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado, Wheat Germ, Moringa Lipids and Jojoba Esters.
RETINOL: Retinol is the star active ingredient in anti-aging cosmetics; its effects on the skin are widely known.
• Promotes cell renewal and proliferation.
• Stimulates the synthesis of collagen, fibronectin and elastin, three proteins responsible for providing structure and support.
• Inhibits the synthesis of metalloproteases, the enzymes involved in collagen degradation.
• Increases the density of the blood vessel network.
• Regulates the expression of the melanin pigment, ideal for skin that presents photoaging.
This results in renewed skin, with stronger support networks, capable of retaining more water, and a better-organized cellular structure. Wrinkles fade, skin firmness and elasticity are restored, and dark spots fade. The effects may take a few weeks or months to appear.
ECTOIN®: This cutting-edge active ingredient is obtained through biotechnology processes from the microorganism Halomonas elongata. Its benefits include: skin barrier repair, reducing transepidermal water loss, antioxidant and blue light protection properties, and skin protection from external stressors and irritants.
STABILIZED VITAMIN C: Ascorbyl glucoside is a stable derivative of ascorbic acid or vitamin C that
It helps protect skin from oxidation and allows its gradual release, reducing skin irritation. It has antioxidant activity, effective in preventing and correcting the signs of aging and providing radiance. It also combats wrinkles by stimulating the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. It also evens out skin tone because it inhibits tyrosinase.
CERAMIDES: Ceramides are the most important structural elements of the lipid membrane that maintain the integrity of the skin barrier. This active ingredient, formed by a complex of ceramides present in the skin, restores these membrane lipids, providing improved texture and flexibility to the skin and, therefore, helping to maintain hydration.
SWEET ALMOND OILS: Almond Oil has nutritional and demulcent properties due to:
• Its mixture of glycerides in composition (oleic acid and small amounts of linoleic, myristic and
palmitic).
• Dry skin has been shown to have a loss of linoleic acid content, which is essential for barrier function.
• Furthermore, oleic acid improves the transport of PUFAs into the skin, inducing penetration. By increasing the cutaneous levels of these essential fatty acids, it increases the production of eicosanoids, which are essential for the structural and functional maintenance of the skin barrier and skin homeostasis.
• The unsaponifiable fraction consisting of squalane, tocopherol and phytosterols, promoting skin tone and elasticity.
AVOCADO OIL. An active ingredient extremely rich in fatty acids that provide hydration and nutrition to the stratum corneum.
corneal, as well as antioxidant capacity.
WHEAT GERM OIL: Wheat Germ Oil has several cosmetic actions:
• Skin-protective and restorative properties. Among other things, ceramides are extracted from wheat oil. These ceramides are used for their ability to prevent or mitigate skin aging, as they make up a large part of the skin's stratum corneum. Furthermore, skin aging is associated with a decrease in the activity of a ceramide-producing enzyme.
• Antioxidant and photoprotective activity.
• Anti-inflammatory activity. Ceramides are anti-inflammatory agents capable of protecting the extracellular matrix from degradation, softening the skin, and significantly reducing transepidermal water loss.
• Microcirculation-stimulating activity. A consequence of the protective activity of membrane lipids at the vascular level is the improvement of cutaneous microcirculation, which allows for a better supply of nutrients to the skin, facilitating the elimination of catabolites resulting from cutaneous metabolism. This effect is especially important during skin aging.
MORINGA LIPIDS: A plant-derived emollient with a lipid structure very similar to that of the skin. It helps increase the hydrolipidic film without causing a greasy feeling or an occlusive effect, providing a matte finish. Excellent for restoring the skin barrier.
JOJOBA ESTERS: Hydrates and softens the skin through a dual action, forming a partially occlusive lipid layer, diffusing into the intercellular spaces of the stratum corneum to make it more elastic.
The fabric leaves a velvety feel on the skin, while delaying water loss and improving flexibility and softness.
